Beaver County School District and their Internet Access Agent UEN, the Utah Education Network, support the NetSafe Utah Children's Internet Safety program.
Beaver County School District has in place an Acceptable Use Policy - AUP that specifies the rules, regulations, expectations and protocols governing staff and student use of the internet while on school properties or access to the internet using school facilities or wireless infrastructure.
The District Acknowledges and supports FCC Form 479.
The District Acknowledges and supports CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act) compliance.
The District maintains an expectation that Online Behavior will be taught in district classrooms using grade level appropriate materials.
Acceptance of the District's CIPA statement that will be included in all AUP documents.
- The District's "Internet safety policy provides for the education of minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms and cyber-bullying awareness and response".
The NetSafe Utah project includes presentations, workshops and online resources for kids, teens, parents and educators. NetSafe Utah is adapted continually to provide Utah schools and communities the Internet Safety information they need and helps schools meet Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requirements
